Rimadyl is an anti-inflammatory that can be used to treat pain and inflammation in pets due to joint diseases, arthritis, hip dysplasia etc. it can also be used to reduce any pain after surgery or dental procedures. This is done by reducing the hormones that cause pain and inflammation in the pet’s body. It requires a veterinarian’s prescription.
Dogs over six weeks of age. Do not give it to your pet if they are pregnant or lactating.

Rimadyl is an FDA approved prescription medication for dogs. It is available in chewables and scored tablets. It is mainly given as a single dose (2mg/lb), or divided into two doses of 1mg/lb. If your pet experiences any bloody or black stools, this can indicate a sign of stomach or intestine damage. Be sure to check with your veterinarian or pharmacist when purchasing this medication.
